In Snowparadis on Velka Raca grew a new lookout in the part of Dedovka at an altitude of 974 m. It was christened by the mayor of Oščadnica Ing. Marián Plevko and the designer Ing. Stanislav Mikovčák, symbolically by a snowball during the opening of the winter season on December 14, 2019.
- A total of 16 meters high observation tower is located a short distance from the top station of the Cable Car Dedovka, directly above chalet Koliba. The building consists of a brick and wooden part and ideally fits into the overall concept of snowparadise.
- Visitors can reach it from the valley station of Dedovka with a 1200 m long four-seater cable car, or walk in about 35 minutes.
When you get off the cable car, you won't miss the new lookout.
From the lookout you will get a wonderful new view from a bird's eye view of the surrounding valleys and hills. For example, the village of Oščadnica, Skalité, part of Poland and the Czech Republic, the Mala Fatra Mountains (e.g. Rozsutec, Chleb and Stoh,...)
The lookout is also a gallery with six exceptional sculptures by Ing. Stanislav Mikovčák. Each of the sculptures has a unique symbolism linked to the history of Kysúc.
Access to the lookout is free of charge and is open to the public throughout the year.
