In Snowparadise on The Great Rach grew a new lookout tower in the dedovka area at an altitude of 974 m. It was christened by the mayor of oščadnica Ing. Marián Plevko and designer Ing. Stanislav Mikovčák, symbolically a snow ball during the opening of the winter season 14. 31 December 2019.
- A total of 16 metres high observation tower is located a short walk from the climax of the Dedovka cable car, directly above the Koliba Chalet. The building consists of a brick and wooden part and ideally fits into the overall concept of snowparadise.
- Visitors can reach it from the Valley Station Dedovky by a 4-seater cable car 1200 m long, or walk in about 35 minutes.
When you get off the cable car, you're not going to miss a new lookout.
From the lookout you will find a wonderful new view from a bird's eye view of the surrounding valleys and hills. For example, the village of Oščadnica, Skalité, part of Poland and the Czech Republic, the Malá Fatra mountains (e.g. Rozsutec, Bread and,...)
The lookout is also a gallery with six exceptional sculptures by Ing. Stanislav Mikovčák. Each of the sculptures has a unique symbolism associated with the history of Kysúc.
Access to the lookout is free of charge and is accessible to the public throughout the year.
